Designed and patented a modular Santoprene feed-through connector enabling the tank heater to support six harness variations for different voltage/current applications. Developed a snap-fit cover for the connector, leveraging existing die slides to eliminate the need for additional tooling, thereby minimizing production costs. Engineered an innovative mounting assembly that securely held nuts in place to streamline installation, also utilizing existing die slides to avoid additional die expenses.
Led the design and development of a next-generation sprinkler for Rain Bird's agriculture division, completing an aggressive 9-month timeline from concept to first production part. The innovative design overcame challenges such as dirty water and freezing temperatures, which typically hindered traditional sprinklers, while meeting strict cost and performance requirements.
An ornamental design patent was part of a broader IP strategy to protect the aesthetic value and brand identity.
